I recently turned 31.. no shame. That’s my age. I haven’t “celebrated” since I was about sixteen. For some reason, I felt the need to celebrate this year.
My brother’s girlfriend, my sister, and I thought it would be fun to throw a Disney themed dinner party. I used my birthday as an excuse to justify throwing it, and I am so glad I did!
We chose Snow White as our central theme; therefore, a majority of our items were inspired by the original story as well as the classic Disney adaptation. If you know the original story, you know its origin is German.
I started with the music, after all.. What is a party without music? Of course, we kept some classics, found some covers, and some awesome originals. You can check out our Fairest of Them All playlist here.
For our dinner menu, we took some inspiration from Disney World and Disneyland. I used a Canva template for my menu and just added things we thought sounded amazing and gave them fun names.

The food was a huge hit! And I had a blast making most of it. The candy apples and the cookies were my favorite. š The cake made me cry lol.

The candy apple recipe was courtesy of Tasty.com and the “beating heart” cookie recipe and icing from our sister blog, BuzzyMoms.
Everyone was encouraged to dress up/wear a costume. Everyone was looking fabulous! I actually bought different pieces from Amazon and put something together. Check out our Pinterest Board for more information on Snow White themed costumes/outfits.
I ordered a beautiful backdrop from Amazon so we could do some fun photos, and my sister made fantastic props.

Everyone had a good time; it was lots of fun. We are now planning our next themed dinner for May.. the theme is Moana. š
